The VINNOVA Competence Centre FibRe, with the mission to develop lignocellulose-based thermoformable materials, has elected Johan Gising, CEO of AB Karl Hedin Bio Innovation, as Vice Chairman of the Board.

FibRe brings together Chalmers University of Technology, KTH Royal Institute of Technology, and more than 20 industrial partners. The centre provides a strong platform for collaboration between academia and industry, with the aim of accelerating research and innovation in bio-based thermoformable materials.

“I am honored by the trust and pleased that the company knowledge is recognized and valued within the centre. I look forward to many engaging discussions and to contributing to the development of promising projects focused on bio-based thermoformable materials,” says Johan Gising.
